Bio

Edward Bell is a multi-talented professional with nationally recognized accomplishments in education, photography, minority affairs, writing, and poetry. Download Eddie's resume to learn more about his career.

Photography

His photographs have graced the covers of the New York Telephone Co. Yellow Pages and the summer supplement of the Mid-Hudson Valley's largest newspaper and have won professional awards and appeared in local, regional and national publications, including the long-running, I Love New York campaign. Among his clients are Marriot Hotels, Phillip Morris, IBM, Scott Associates REALTORS®, the Huguenot Historical Society, and Ruckel's Inc., contractors. The walls in homes as far away as China display his decorator prints.


Poetry

Eddie has written three well-received volumes of poetry and a history of one of Kingston, NY's oldest black churches. He has written numerous feature stories and opinion articles for the Times Herald-Record, Middletown, NY. He teaches writing and poetry seminars and writes an abundance of material for newsletters, brochures, and public relations and fundraising campaigns.

Higher Educations

Eddie Bell's achievements in higher education are noteworthy. His pioneering model programs for minority recruitment and retention have been honored by the American Council of Education (ACE), the National Association of Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the State University of New York College Admission Professionals and the SUNY College at New Paltz. His models are still the foundation of SUNY's minority recruitment programs state-wide. Eddie Bell's vast and diverse life experiences make him an effective motivational speaker for all age groups.
